Q: Changing Photos in the YCI Splash
How do I add, remove or change the pictures on my splash page if I use the You Create It Splash in Mode 4?
A:
Never fear! The YCI splash is easy to work with and you'll be a pro in no time! (This tutorial assumes you are already using the YCI Splash feature and not the standard Splash Page.)
1. Make sure you have your new pictures ready - that is, sized appropriately. More on what size to choose in a moment.
2. Log into your store admin and click the left Configuration tab. Next, scroll down to the Mode 4 section, and click You Create It Splash.
3. Now you will see your home page. If you are replacing a picture, find the one you want to replace, right-click it, and then click Image Properties. You'll see the current image's width and height... you'll want your replacement picture to be the same or as close possible.
4. Get your new picture ready if you haven't already.
5. Click once on the picture you want to replace, or place the cursor where you want the new picture.
6. Now click the small yellow box with the mountain icon at the top of the editor. Click Browse Server, then click Browse to find the new picture on your computer. Double-click it and then click Upload. Once uploaded, find your new picture in the list and click it. Then click OK. You will see your new picture now. Click Save and your home page will be updated.
7. To remove a picture, without replacing it, simply click it once then press the DELETE key on your keyboard.

A:
I'll never, ever leave you out in the cold. All of my website clients are my customers for life. Tech support for your website is free for life. I'm just an email away. Whatever you need help with, I'll walk you through it.

Why don't you have a phone number on your website? How can I be sure this site is legitimate?
A:
I don't have a phone number on my site because, as a work at home mom of 2 young kids, it's just not possible most of the time for me to be available for phone inquiries. I handle all correspondence by email. If you feel more comfortable, we can set up an initial Yahoo Instant Messenger consultation of up to 30 minutes can be scheduled. After that we will work together by email to perfect your design.

Q: Satisfaction guarantee
Do you offer refunds? What if I am not satisfied?
A:
There are several reasons that refunds are not an option with my type of service. For one, it's impossible for me to protect the coding and graphics I create from being saved and used anyway since I am providing them to the client from the beginning. Web and graphic design are not physical products that can be returned in exchange for a refund.
Also, my policy is to work with you on your design until you are satisfied. In the absence of a refund policy, the alternative is a satisfaction guarantee. Once you send me your completed questionnaire and I create your initial design, we will work on it together until it's perfected. This doesn't include starting over and creating an entirely different design if you decide, after seeing your questionnaire answers brought to life, that you want to change your answers. We will however work from the basis of the initial design and go from there to make something you will absolutely love! All of my past clients have ended up with a website they adore and are proud of.
My refund policy is as follows, and is part of the terms that make up the contract you agree to upon payment for any services: If the client opts to cancel their contract with Boutique Graphics, no refund will be given. I make every effort to satisfy clients' desires and am not accountable for client cancellations. Cancellation of the contract is immediate and binding, resulting in no further work being done on the project.

Is there a waiting list? If so how do I get on it?
A:
At times I do have a waiting list. It depends on the types of projects I'm working on. Let me know what you need and I can let you know if I can start right away. If there is a wait, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot on my calendar.
Q: Web design timeframe
How long can I expect it take for my website to be finished?
A:
Custom eCommerce sites typically take 4-6 weeks to complete. This is just an average though; there's no way to guarantee a definite time on a custom design as there are so many variables involved. You will need to be available daily to provide feedback and answer questions relating to your design to keep the process moving.
Informational sites take anywhere from 2 weeks on; it depends on the complexity of the design, amount of page content, and number of pages among other things. I can give you a basic timeframe for your particular project once I know all the details.
Quick Start Sites can be up in as little as a week. All of the content for the site must be provided at once to keep the process quick and the price low!
Q: Maintaining your site
What if I need to change or update my site after it's done? Will I have to pay for updates or can I do it myself?
A:
You can update, add to, or take away anything at anytime. I provide you with all the instructions you'll need, and everything is done by your own online admin area. All you need is an internet connection.
Also, any time you need help, I'm only an email away! With my websites I give clients free tech support for life. I'll walk you through it and explain til you get it!
If you'd rather have me do updates, I'm happy to do so. Just drop me an email and we'll work out what needs to be done and the pricing.
Q: Communication
How will we communicate about my project?
A:
As a work-at-home mom with 2 awesome (and noisy) kids, I tend to do a lot of work during the very late or very early hours, so ALL correspondence about your project is handled by email. Email also allows me to look back at your answers as I work on your design. If you aren't comfortable communicating exclusively by email, please realize that I am not able to make exceptions!
Q: Hosting
What web hosts do you use?
A:
I design eCommerce websites exclusively with WAHMShoppes. They're the best value and easiest to use host I've found. The service is a flat $7 per month with no other fees or software.
Non e-Commerce sites can be hosted either with WAHMShoppes or Yahoo. Other hosts might be ok; just ask if you have one you'd like to use.
