| Q If I buy a premade template from you, do I have to buy it again for each page on my site that I wish to add it to, or do I just pay for it once? A The premade template fee is a license fee to use the design on a single URL. So, whether your site has 1 page or 500, the design can be used on all pages of your site. If you are using an approved host, all pages that you add to your site will automatically load into the template design.
Q Can I add my product pics to the template? A Yes, you will be responsible for adding your products to your store, including their images, unless you purchase the Store Setup service with Product Upload.
Q If I already have my site with another host, how do I change it over to make it compatible with one of your recommended sites? A First you will choose the approved host you want to use and sign up for their service. Once you receive an email from the new host with your setup info, it will include the DNS or nameservers for the host. You will need to log in or contact your old host to change the DNS/nameservers to those of your new host. Once that is done, your old website will be gone (including all content, so make sure to back it up first) and your new hosting account will be active.
Q When I want to change or add products pics, will I be able to do that on my end or do I need you to do it? A You are able to make all additions, changes and modifications to your site's content, products, etc at any time. You own and control your URL, hosting account and website. The license fee you pay for the template allows you to use that design on your site, however the original copyright of the design itself remains with Boutique Graphics, so changes to the actual template graphics are not allowed.
Q I have my website hosted with a company that is not one of your approved hosts, and I don't want to change. Can I still use your premade templates? A Yes you can, however, modifications to the template's HTML code will be necessary in order for it to work with your host. You are responsible for these modifications, and I do not provide installation or support for non-approved hosts. You will receive a zip file with the template graphics (including the header customized with your business name) and the HTML code for you to install.
Q How many pages can I use the premade template on? A The fee that you pay for premade templates is a licensing fee. It gives you the right to use the template on unlimited pages on a single URL. (That means you can only use the design on one website, not two or more, and not on a blog.)
Q I ordered a premade template and you installed it. I am trying to set up my store but I don't understand what to do and I'm frustrated. Can you help me? A You have two options. First, you can look in the help pages of your website host. If you can't find the help pages, call or email your host and they can steer you in the right direction and answer any questions you have about setting up your store. Q I want to use a premade template for an informational website. Will it work? A Yes, the templates can be used for sites that are not for selling products as well. With my approved hosts, it is very easy to add informational pages which load right into the template; you can take off the "Shop" and "Cart" sections. If you are not with an approved host, modifications to the template's HTML code will be necessary in order for it to work with your host. You are responsible for these modifications, and I do not provide installation or support for non-approved hosts. You will receive a zip file with the template graphics (including the header customized with your business name) and the HTML code for you to install.
Q Can I use the template graphics on my business cards and letterhead? A No, because the graphics included with the template license are web graphics and are only to be used on your website. Web graphics are also much too small and too low resolution for printing. If you need printed supplies to match your design, you can purchase them here at any time after you have purchased any premade template. Matching designs are available for all premade templates.
Q Can I get the original Photoshop files so that I can edit my website graphics? A No, layered .psd files are not included. Further, templates are licensed as-is and it is illegal to make changes to any of the graphics. |
