When you want to exchange links you first add the other site`s link to your site.

1. Go to your store admin and click on Configuration, and then Links Directory in the Mode your store is in (highlighted in red - if I built your site, it is Mode 4).
2. At the top, click Add Link.
3. Fill in like this:

Link title: The title of their site as shown on their add link page.

URL: The URL of their site.

Link Description: Also from their add link page.

Image URL: You get from their add link page. On their banner, right click and choose properties. This will show the URL of their image. Highlight, copy and paste it into this field. If they don`t have a banner, just leave this space blank.

Category: Choose which category of your links you want to put their site in.

Reciprocal link, contact name and contact email you can leave blank, or contact the other site`s owner for the info. It`s not required to add their link.

4. Click Submit Link.


Then you go on their site and add your info.


Link title: The title of your site, such as Boutique Graphics.
URL: The URL of your site, such as http://www.boutiquegraphics.com.

Link Description: What you want to say about your site, such as "Custom website and graphic design".

Image URL: The URL of your banner. If you upload it to your store using the File Utlities, the link will be http://www.yoursite.com/fpdb/images/bannername.jpg or .gif, whichever extension your banner is saved as. You can also upload your banner to Photobucket and it will give you a URL.

Category: Pick which one you want to be in on their site.

URL of reciprocal link: http://yoursite.com/store/LDlinks.asp

Contact Name: your name

Contact Email: your email

Then click Submit.
